Etude House Vip Girl Darling Lips OR206 vs Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

 The VIP Girl Darling Lips in OR206, for the life of me i do not know why it’s not listed on the etude house website but the two other shades are the 205 and 207 LOL.  i’ve had this for a while, it’s a nice warm bright pink.  and you guessed it when i saw it again while cleaning and organizing my stuff, it sorta reminded me of antwerp.

 once again on the lips, the etude house seem more ‘3d’ merely because it has an almost glossy finish while the nyx is matte, so medyo flat.so on the right (my right) is the nyx soft matte lip cream in antwerp while on the left (my left) is the etude house vip girl darling lips in or206

 from afar with natural sunlight, and lots of it…

 and below also with natural sunlight but obscured by bldgs.

Depending on your brand loyalty and effect you’d like on your lips, it is up to you which of these lippies you’d apply on your lips.

there are many many sellers online for Nyx now but i get my stuff from Digital Traincase as her store is very convenient for me to get to.

Naturally, if you ask me, i would prefer the etude house one simply because it doesn’t dry me out.  it doesn’t look flat on my lips and and it’s in stick form.  i actually see how much product i have left.  while the packaging of the nyx doesn’t allow for me to find out if i still have any product left in the tube =(

i really really like the antwerp shade though, of the ones i have, it’s istanbul and antwerp i really like.  with san paolo a far far third.  milan is just way too cool on my lips for me to like on me, maybe if i tanned my skin, milan would look good on me?  but that will never happen.

will i repurchase? i might purchase the 205 when oranges come back in season LOL

do i recommend? i still recommend the wannabe color my lips line from etude house, a little more expensive but creamier on the lips than the vip girl darling lips hahaha

NYX Nudies Black Label in Bling and NYX Matte Lipsticks in Sierra and Euro-trash swatches

All NYX Lippies were purchased at Digital Train Case‘s physical store, either at some bazaar in mega mall or her store at eton cyberpod at ortigas, fronting the crowne plaza.  my most recent purchase is bling.  a black label from nyx.  one of my readers had asked me if i’ve tried or could try a black label lippie from Nyx ahem JhoAnne ahem LOL.  so i got the best selling one, and it looked quite pretty on frmheadtotoe Jen who has similar coloring as my complexion so i gave it a go.

it’s satin finish, so not so matte not so glossy.  and it’s a nude kinda pink under tone.

below is Sierra, she wanted to have something that looks very natural so her lips only better and she wanted to have something long lasting on her lips, well i assure you and her, that these matte lippies do stay long on the lips!

and the recent purchase during the Digital Train Case Promo, Eurotrash.  this is the darker compared to sierra.

i’m not feeling the love for this shade.  i think it makes my lips look like i smoke (which i don’t) since it’s dark yet natural looking.  

of the 3 nyx’s i’m glad it was bling i personally purchased.  i think sierra and euro trash are not for my complexion and that i do better with pinks and reds.  though i did kinda look summery sweet in my etude house miss tangerine sweet shower lips.  so i guess it’s the browns in sierra and euro trash that i’m not particularly fond of.

HOWEVER:  the sierra and euro trash shades are awesome on my office mate (who owns her own sierra) and she’s a mac nc40+ it looks so healthy on her.

if you’re not as fair as i am, not looking to don the fall bright red or cherry or berry red this fall 2011 then may i suggest that you try these shades from nyx 😉

My Nyx Matte Lippies swatches & pics – Ingitera Mode part 2 all lippies are puchased from Digital Train Case

when this brand exploded on youtube, i was mildy curious.  then local bloggers (local to the Philippines that is) have blogged about this, a shout out to http://www.iambrigitte.com and http://www.shensaddiction.com, i was beginning to have real interest in the brand.  it was when a multiply seller, digital train case, was at mega mall for at the phil cosmetic expo and upon learning that said multiply seller has a physical store very near where i work, that i gave in. initially buying a couple of lippies at the phil cosmetic expo. followed by a couple of soft matte lip creams at her physical store at eton cyberpod.  

and most recently another couple of lip products while digital train case was at the megabrands bazaar at mega mall, another soft matte lip cream and another nyx matte lipstick.  so now i have a total of three soft matte lip creams and three nyx matte lipsticks.

Now for san paolo: i’ve seen this on Shen in real life and i fell in love with the shade.  yeah yeah i’m this sallow really pale person, so it doesn’t mean it’s fantabulous on her it would be on me as well.  but here it is.  pic below has the flash turned on

and a mug of me.  i like it on me.  it looks natural on me.  a better pair of lips on me, but natural none the less.

but it’s angel that i liked A LOT among my first 4 nyx purchases. this is what i was actually expecting of san paolo to be on me.

recently at the mega brands bazaar held at mega trade hall, i got a couple of nyx stuff. this time in antwerp and perfect red.

My thoughts on these matte lippies.  
well, they’re definitely a must try.  i like the fact that they’re cheaper than cover girl.  i love the pigmentation.  i wasn’t really dried out by these.  maybe because i’ve learned to apply a lipstick base prior to any lipstick i put on.  
soft matte lip cream vs the matte lipsticks.  
the soft matte lip creams are indeed just that quite soft and very creamy to apply.  but i would have to apply my lipstick base and lip concealer more just so the lip cream would not accent the vertical lines on my lips.  the soft matte lip cream is also not as lasting as the nyx matte lipstick.  it reminds me of my revlon colorstay ultimate liquid lipstick except that the nxy doesn’t stay as long.  another way the nyx soft matte lip cream reminds me of my revlon colorstay ultimate liquid lipstick is how when you apply it with the doe foot applicator the doe foot applicator wipes off the product off your lips LMAO, it’s like the moment it’s on your lips you wipe it off, specially when you rub your lips together while it’s still wet, DON’T. otherwise you’d roll the pigment to another part of your lip, and you’d get a line of product right under your cupid’s bow.
the matte lipsticks HOWEVER, are just love.  wow those things last on my lips.  i need a lip remover (i mean a lip makeup remover LOL).  for some reason it applies better, too.  it takes just about one swipe on my lips.  truly quite the competition to the matte lippies from the cover girl lip perfection line
do i recommend these lippies? definitely specially if you can’t see yourself in a Korean Cosmetics shop
will i repurchase? probably, the nyx matte lipsticks, yeah!

i’ll do a review on my lippies vs covergirl’s lip perfection since those are matte, too.  I like going here, Sol and Paul’s dog, Colette is such a sweetheart.  either that or pets really know animal lovers by their smell and therefore kept giving me kisses and made a chew-toy out of my fingers. teeeheee ♥♥♥

well hell yeah it’s less expensive than covergirl’s lippies and even etude’s! so i’m all over this LOL and san paolo and angel did not oxidize on my my lips (ahem, cough ahem covergirl’s fairytale ahem, cough, ahem)
