Category Archives: blush

this is one of the goodies i was given at the Tony Moly press launch last July (have i told you how much i miss july yet, i think so, here

isn’t the poof so cute?  the ribbon shows what shade of blush in there.

and my gift was in 03, purrfect, LOL since already i’ve had ellana’s happinessbunnytheBalm’s hotmama and orgasm not to mention a cream blush from the tangerine collection cream choux #2 miss peach.

and here’s a comparative shot, in the containers/pans they look quite similar

click pics to enlarge but theBalm’s hotmama is more on the pinky side.  Tony moly’s is closer to happiness or the cream choux #2 miss peach imho

babalina me, looks very natural, just like happiness, and a little like bunny, too

while my office mate Farah looks like she has a healthy glowy peach on her cheeks.  the shimmers came out on her more than it did on me.

i like this blush, it doesn’t oxidize on me, doesn’t fade either.  here’s the blush on me about 4hours through the day.

so yes yes, i’ve got a lot of peach orangey blushes LMAO.  time for some pinks again :p

what blush have you been using lately?

My office mate finally received the samples she requested for from the ellana minerals website LOL and i had to, like just had to take pics and try the blush that was sent along LMAO, thanks Donna!  and here’s fulfillment, yep, isang L lamang after the letter u otherwise you’d get the red squiggly lines on your spell check LOL.  from the zip lock bag it kinda reminded me of nars’ orgasm once i apply the orgasm on my face.

but actually it looks more like theBalm’s hot mama both in the container and on my face as you shall see.  i like how ellana mineral blushes look so natural on me, i use theBalm’s baby kabuki brush because LOL, it was the only thing that could fit through the mouth of the sample zip lock bag.  photo below under natural lighting. yep it’s a great dupe for the theBalm’s hot mama!

photo below with flash, and there’s the satin gold finish.  hola! from the cam screen i thought the blush didn’t photograph well, but when i was processing the pics already, ayun, awwww ishohpweeeteee

this made me wanna buy the 2.5g or at the very least the 1g later today still thinking, i wanna get their “hiliters” [the raspberry cappuccino one] which are their highlighters, sana maitama naman nila yung spelling since it’s on the web, the world wide web. sorry i may suck at grammar and homonyms but i at least notice the red squiggly line of mister spell check, LMAO

oh by the way it only slightly faded, the blush remained on my face despite my oily combination skin.  and it only slightly oxidized on my cheeks.  which i liked actually, it kinda gave me a sun-kissed effect.

Do i recommend? most certainly! i love ellana minerals, how affordable they are and how lasting their products are in my vanity.

Will i purchase? yep, for sure!

this is a review on a g-lish gelato cheek treat. it retails for a hundred bucks at the g-lish kiosks at sm mega mall, trinoma, and their other branches, sorry i forget their other locations. you can also order this off the web by going to .
g-lish is a Filipino company and their price range is very similar to the price ranges of elf ( i have a couple of their gelato eyescream that i reviewed HERE

this time the label is large enough to include a listing for the ingredients at the back of this swivel stackable type of container they have for their pressed powder blush on. INGREDIENTS: Talc, Mica, Castor Oil, Pigment, Fragrance, Antioxidant.

the sales lady said that the number 4 is their most popular and sellable. she swatched it on the back of my hand and it was matte and it was nice peachy pink and i bought it.

based on what i’ve observed from makeup guru’s statements matte anything is hard to do. apparently shimmers are sort of fillers like how adding potatoes in adobo is a meat extender (ha by adding a carb source). oh basta yon, madalang lang daw ang matte eye shadow, blush, and bronzers. only big name brands have matte stuff even then it’s combined with shimmer stuff. only recently did revlon came out with their matte line, about a year ago, and finally revlon has begun to import them here.

so when i saw this FILIPINO company that sell their products at very very affordable prices sold a matte blush, i was sold.

i recommend a very light hand or a fan brush like this fan brush or a stippling / finishing brush like these stippling brush to apply this almost pure pigment blush from g-lish. also, better yet, apply the blush first before you apply your finishing powder or pressed powder. this thing is so pigmented. the shade is fantastic. number 4 is a nice coral peach pink and gives me a healthy glow, but if i’m not careful i’m liable to end up looking like a clown.

this thing is wonderful when first applied. it doesn’t fade what it does is OXIDIZE on my skin. i never darken any foundation or powder, my face just ends up absorbing it or melt any product i put on it except for revlon’s color stay foundation for oily combination skin. so to my surprise after a couple of hours my blush turned to a bronze orangey color on my cheeks. blehyuck. so i kinda look muddy. (as you know am not in to the bronze look, i’m pale so bat pa ko magiiba ng look). so final recommendation, don’t listen too much to the sales assistants, try out the products first, go around the mall, then see what it ends up looking like on your face.

would i buy this again? no, probably their shade number 1 which is their baby pink shade.
