89f88-p1030630-grandprize2of2MY HUMBLE MID YEAR GIVEAWAY – Open to Metro Manila Residents

Some of you may recall that I used this bb cream in my recent tutorial seen below.

that night was actually the first time i had tried out this special and limited edition bb cream.  and i’ve used it everyday since then.

the ingredient list is below and in english.

it has a pump and a pump that works!

it is more like a foundation to me though, like a a sheer sorta luminous tinted moisturizer.

i like the luminosity on this one.  it’s really quite subtle.

a picture of me with just the bb cream and concealer under my eyes and pimple scars. hehehe sorry hagardo verzowsa.  this is my morning fez

it’s a tad reflective.  i had bad lighting since it was raining so the room i was in was sorta dark.  this coupled by my flash not loving me this day i took the pic and the spf in the product made it reflective. but i suppose i can still pull it off since my face is only a little lighter on my face.  so ladies with warmer and deeper skin tones, please be aware of this fact before purchasing it.  please try the product first, go around the mall, take pictures of yourself, and see if you will still encounter this floating head phenomenon, if you can deal with it, then by all means, buy it.

but if you won’t take pictures of yourself with a flash, then it really really looks natural yet you look polished. this foundation (yes, foundation) provides a thin veil of light to medium coverage that can even out the skin on your face and it made me look i had blood running up to my head instead of my non-madeup face where in i look really ashen and pale.

topped with setting powder and the bb has set a bit.  even with flash it looks sorta normal already.

  • semi dewy – makes me look healthy! well without flash photography that is.  just the normal no flash, real life, i like the finish of this
  • consistency – it’s a cross between a foundation and your regular bb cream so it’s a tad watery so it’s great to blend but blends out sorta powdery
  • not cakey
  • covers pores evenly
  • light to medium coverage, great for summer! you don’t end up looking too made up!
  • i don’t oil up right away.  no need to reapply, even after i walked under an umbrella in the rain so it was wet and humid all i had to do was blot away the oil and moisture and it looked like new on my face again
  • THE SCENT OMG I LOVE THE WAY THIS SMELLS!  it’s super duper faint but really lovely and soft and feminine.  it’s tough to describe but it’s kinda a cross between the johnson’s and johnson’s baby powder regular scent mixed in with a little lavender but very very faint.
  • the price check out their webstore here it’s less than 500 for 30grams of product! so college students can afford it!
  • takes a little product to cover my entire face
  • a pump that works!
  • limited edition.  so hmmmm why are the good stuff limited ed? LOL
  • very limited shades.  i think they only have shade two in the stores here in manila.
  • hmmm always out of stock? i had to get mine at the eastwood branch LOL
do i recommend? – definitely
will i repurchase? – i might!

 has anyone else tried this?

Some of you who liked my facebook page may have seen my HK travels album here and saw that HK is indeed a shopping city LOL.  the hubby and i were there for three days and half.  we did the nathan road shopping thing.

and naturally, since my current addiction is Laneige, i came home with a few goodies from that brand.  full sized items are cheaper in Manila.  but the sample sizes are found in HK and are for sale O_o.  the water sleeping pack was about 800+ on the street, i just didn’t get it since at the time i haven’t really tried it, and i already have several sample size of the water sleeping pack for me to try.  oh yeah, next to bonjour and the body shop, laneige stores were abound.

apart from sasa, that sold samples from guerlain to estee lauder to elizabeth arden, colour mix was a store i visited in two locations.  they carried lioele, skin79, the face shop and this taiwanese brand called shills.

i got these at sasa.  ah the famous dollywink.  kala ko naman kung ano, maganda pa packaging ng ever b at careline or halos pareho lang.

In Macau though, at the Venetian, i found this boutique, phew! one boutique to conquer all!  It’s a Korean cosmetics shop!  oo may Laneige din dyan, samwerz.  spotted, etude house and tony moly!

and a section dedicated to that slave management label called sment, phfft.  yep, the sales girl said that they were commissioned by sment to sell their original and official SMEnt merch.  (sment is the label that manages super kpop groups like super junior, tvxq, shinee, and girls generation, not to mention kpop mainstay BoA). so here below are the uber expensive mugs, clear file folders, and other office supplies with our favorite kpop idols.

From that store i came away with my missha snail cream set and a holika holika tinted lip balm/gloss.  from that purchase they gave me their sweetmay makeup case and a face cream/essence in a sachet.

so yeah, sa Macau yung may libre.  so it really is a Korean thing to give away freebies with purchase.  the Laneige store in Harbour city mall didn’t give didleee squat, hay, it was about 500 bucks cheaper at Laneige harbour city mall branch but well, from the point of view of a pinoy, pupunta  ka pa ng hk para makatipid ng 500, eh di well, sa shangri la na lang or trinoma (moa or robinson’s place) for your laneige fix may libre ka pang kung ano anong anik anik, sa hk wala!

back in Hong Kong.  theBenj found Sino center for me, this hole in the wall vira mall type of mall (circa 1980’s as in before the fire vira mall).  this is the place to buy kpop official and unofficial merch.  the big bang stuff is official while the leader stuff well, fanmade.

From Page One i got a catalogue mag.  these asian magazines often include goodies with the mag.  the tweens often by the mag for the goodies.  this was the last copy of this Arashi mag.  and this mag made miss my sister in Asian-pop madness, Dek.  ayan nakunan ko na ng picture.  the bag stays but once i’ve taken photo’s of jun, i’ll ship the mag off to you na.  i used that bag at the office xmas party lmao!

Along Nathan road, there are side streets, one of them is Shun Yee street and on one corner there is camille road.  at that area i found this st francis/vira mall type of boutique (so no fitting allowed) where the prices of the clothes are half the price compared to most of the clothes i’ve seen so far through the many malls along nathan road.  the name of the store is in fashion.

for the office i got a few blouses.

a dress for date night ^_^

ahhh well y’all know i can’t keep away for the corally-peachy blouses.

and a pair of hose(s)

a nice blouse for the Christmas party.

which i wore at the Christmas party.

below is the black vest thing.

all the blouses didn’t go over 450 O_o where as compared to the malls, both in HK and in Manila, blouses of such designs would go for double those prices. hahaha i am proud to say, including the boots from naf naf, my entire outfit for the Christmas party was roughly about PhP1200 O_0 oo, HKD50 (around 300peTot) lang yung leggings with felt type of fabric the blouse was only HKD49 (around 280petoTs) so around PhP500 blouse and pants na.  then the naf naf boots were on half off sale last oct ba yun, so asa 700 or less. hahaha.  sorry peeps, i’d rather spend on skin care than on clothes.  though that may change as well. but i’m far from posting outfits of the day, but who knows, there’s a korean owned store in greenhills with roughly the same prices as this in fashion shop in HK

except for the holiday edition lip duo and blush from laneige, the items above are Christmas + 8th year anniv gifts to me from the hubby.  so to the judgmental people out there, eh well, grind your teeth for all i care.

hahahaha may ganon? la lang each time i post a haul vid on my youtube channel, as in each time, i have a thumbs down. like i said grind your teeth hahaha

are we traveling again soon? maybe, i’m hoping to catch leader in Sg, or once big bang releases their new album in 2012, and when they tour, i’m hoping to catch them in BKK or Sg (historically, they have not visited HK, but who knows..)

i kinda liked the weather in HK it was winter but the temps were only around 16 degrees.  it was Macau that was bitingly cold at 11 degrees with WIND.  i loved the fact that my makeup didn’t melt of regardless of the long walks hahaha.  i hardly blotted the oils off my nose!

til next time folks 😉

back when i started my Korean addiction, Laneige had just arrived in the Philippines.  their flagship store is in Trinoma.  now they have three shops that i know of, Trinoma, the first one, SM Moa, and most recently, Edsa Shangrila Mall (Crossings)-kaching!  just walking distance from where the fx drops me off when i go to megamall, LMAO.

So how i do i get these samples? eeeeezeee, buy stuff from them.  laneige lippie post within the week, y’all.

I was quite hesitant to buy this bb cream as it didn’t really work out for my sister in law, so much so she gave it to the young lady that takes care of her kid, aka yaya/nanny.

so fine, i gave it a go, it’s just a sample anyhow if it didn’t work out at least i didn’t invest in it.  the sa said they only give out the natural beige [2nd] shade.  so ok, just like other korean shop, their samples are of the ‘darker’ shade.  i use that loosely cuz look at this!

it is with a heavy heart that i announce that my wonderful Laneige UV SPF40 PA++ reviewed here has been discontinued.  and well, why wouldn’t they now that they have a bb cream.

ingredient list:

on my face, ey, awesome coverage, i actually forgot to apply concealer under my eyes. not bad.  pic below taken without flash.

and below with flash.  not too reflective and the shade matches my skin, kinda.  the finish sorta matte.  it smells great, too.

but once upon a time, i got a sample of their snow crystal dual foundation spf 22 PA+ which i reviewed here.

finally i get to use it, and it still works! this of course is the ‘darker’ shade.

hoWleefrak, i love the combination.  i forgot how i love love this foundation.  forgive me laneige for getting sidetracked. imma gonna buy you this december, i promise! i just don’t know what i’ll do with the concealer on top LOL, still!  pic below is taken without flash and the foundation is on top of the bb cream

and below with flash.  the finish is luminous without being too bright and shimmery, really really natural looking brightening or luminous effect.  no sparkles.

my setting powder is the revlon colorstay mineral aqua (you guys know how i love that) and here’s what came out.  slightly ‘darker’ or natural looking than my usual.  do you see the slight difference of fairness from my face to my neck and chest? pic below is taken without flash.

below with flash.

and you betcha i’ll get the foundation either in HK or next pay day.  this foundation at the Changi Airport Duty free is SG$47.5 around PhP1700++ converted.  at Laneige Philippines, this is sold for PhP1650, then naturall i’d say it’s a done deal.

but things are generally cheaper in HK compared to SG so i’ll see my luck there for the foundation.

the likes and dislikes below will be about the bb cream since i’ve already reviewed the foundation here, and guess what, i still feel the same way about it.

  • the scent, it’s so lady like, not baby powder scent for high school or elementary but very lady like yet not matronly
  • the coverage, medium to buildable full coverage!
  • spf 41 pa++ not the best but it’s way up there.
  • lasting power, lasted all day
  • didn’t cake up the foundation
  • didn’t break me out
  • didn’t oxidize thank gawd, (since i had the ‘darker’ one lol)
  • oil control, 3.5/5 [1-being the lowest 5-being the highest] i’d still have to blot the oils away at least once or 2x a day in an airconditioned office and i don’t move around a great deal.
  • moisturizing

  • whitening – i’d be afraid if i get any fairer LOL and by just using bb creams
  • anti-wrinkle – i’ve only used it for 5 days (my minimum for trying out the bb cream for something to give me a zit, which in this case didn’t)

  • i guess the price? but then it’s high end, so i can’t dictate that, but it’s actually less expensive here in Manila than at the Changi Duty free so i guess it shouldn’t be so whiny.
This Laneige bb is cheaper than my shu uemura which is 2k when i bought it, while the clinique bb cream reviewed here (though only around 1400+ at Changi airport) is 1,850 here Manila, so Laneige’s bb is a tad cheaper than Clinique’s at least here in Manila.
  • currently only 2 shades

Do i recommend this? – definitely, specially to those who like bb creams, like high end, and are interested in Korean cosmetics

Will I purchase? – you bet- i loved it so much, that i bought the full size and this time i bought the luminous shimmer one, so not the ‘darker’ one.

oh Laneige how could i have gotten side tracked? never again

imma to just stick to what i know and what got me going on this blogging thing which are: Korean or Asian cosmetics [yez, me wants to try kevin beauty maker, esprique/kose, fascio, hera, and the rest] kpop stuff, and of course, food blogging.

my next purchases would be their holiday stuff hahaha already in the shelves.

my next laneige post would be about their awesome lippies my gawd, super non-drying/chapping!

Disclaimer: this product was sent to me to try out.  i am not paid for this review.  this is my honest review of this product that i’ve tried daily for 5days.  I will have an over all review on the skin shop’s bb creams that were sent to me by the end of the month or at least by the first week of August posted on my youtube channel.  They also sent me literature on the products, claiming that their products are made of all natural ingredients with pictures of plants. ^_^

i love this cap, it keeps the product in just in case the plunger gets pushed downwards, so it keeps the product in. it’s a block and a stopper.

the product on the back of my hand looks like a thick foundation

and slightly blended on the back of my hand

and thoroughly blended

just the bb cream on my face with concealer under my eyes and blemishes/scars, photo below taken without flash.

photo below taken with flash, yikes LOL

a complete face using the setting powder that came with the box photo below taken without flash

and with flash below:

and in brighter daylight

this bb cream is the second of the bb creams from the-skin shop that i was sent for review.
some thoughts on the bb cream:
the packaging is very handy and for me, better than the fatter skin79, but the pump is the same as the skin79 one.  the bb cream itself very easy to apply, blends quite easily and smells wonderful.  it smells  a little like baby powder, quite girly.  the coverage is light to medium coverage and slightly build-able.  the shade is slightly darker than my skin, but just slightly.  it sets quite fast and feels smooth.
and now for the setting powder that comes with the bb cream:

it’s a loose powder so there are holes at the top

i only exposed 2 holes to keep from the thing exploding in my bag.
and the powder blended on the back of my hand on top of the bb cream

some thoughts on the the loose powder that came with it:
the packaging could be deeper so that the powder doesn’t explode upwards every time you move it or even tap it.  it’s messy but it’s the nature of loose powders, that’s why they have containers that are big tubs so you have space to shake the powder around and still contain it.  this powder is better applied with a powder brush instead of the puff that came with it.  but the powder puff that did come with it is super soft and i love it and i’d use that on a pressed face powder.
As this post is getting longer than my usual posts, i’ll make it short but to the point with yet another table.  yes, friends, once again, i visit my one time hobby and job description when i used to be a netsol agent.  seriously, i feel like i knew so much more 10 years ago than i do now!? hahaha the only thing in addition to what i’ve learned in the last 3years is how to pivot, vlookup and make a macro LMAO, phhhft. (oh well not withstanding all i’ve learned from youtube and beauty bloggers, of course and a little hangugo) 😀

What bb cream have you been using?

Some of you that visit my channel and view my videos may have noticed that i usually do reviews on bb creams.  well, after a while, and even with not too many views, i still got noticed.  This time i was noticed by this rather new Korean Cosmetics company called The Skin Shop.  their website is  they contacted me through the youtube messaging system and asked me if i had heard of them.  well, i have, either in passing or i simply mistook the person mentioning it as a typographical error.  i actually thought the person who mentioned it meant either skin food or the face shop.  sorry po, tao lang 😉
so, they sent me another message asking me if i was willing to try their products.  eh alam mo nayan, [and you know what that means].  i agreed.  and thought that was the end of it.  oooops they’re for real.  for the life of me, the dude sending me youtube messages actually put their site on the messages but i didn’t pay a visit.  til this package arrived.
ah Koreanong periodico [South Korean newspapers]
bubblewrap! my cats are happy naooo!
tadaaahhh, nak nang, weh, i thought they would be sending me samples not the full sized products!
ahmmm laway ng su-so, snail slime OMG and i thought only TM had that hahaha [TM’s version is live snail chorva].
bb cream
bb cream
and even the snail slime has a bb cream, well i meant there’s a bb cream under the recovery line [with the snail slime thing].
Mukhang mapapalaban ako ah [this looks like a challenge]  both I and my winxp pc’s as in both big mama and baby laptop both of  whom, i think, actually hate me as in despise me when i start editing my videos with cyberlink powerdirector.  dear batman, i’m sorry, but once again, ikaw na bahala hahaha.
hello all, i would like to begin this post with hola chikkas!!! TGIF!  and with a few disclaimers LMAO
did i ever tell you folks that i graduated fr med school eons ago from the PLM-OM? bwahahaha yep.  upon clerkship i realized it was not for me.  however, having that experience made me truly realize [and not just imagine] what our doctors go through. hahaha take note, i had just graduated from a filipino med school when desperate housewives chose to use philippine med schools as part of their joke dialog for teri hatcher, so yeah tumaas din kilay ko nuon, na medyo natawa hehehe if they only knew hahaha.  so why the initial disclaimer? well, most of us have been to a derma at one point or another right?  so after we get our treatment or get our diagnosis, we will eventually get an upsell from the doctor to buy her own stuff.  you know, the ones in white tubs with a sticker from a label-ler you can buy at national book store?  so NOT something like this:
yep, their own brand of skin care that’s obviously not manufactured in a pharmaceutical company? having come from a medical background, i was privileged to find out a few things about the industry and well, guess what DOCTORS ARE HUMAN.  wearing white does not make them any more OR less benevolent.  so there will be entrepreneurial doctors out there upselling their ‘own’ products repackaged in those white tubs you can buy at the hortaleza and with the label that is obviously just from a label-ler from national bookstore.  so kung papayag ka, eh nasa sa iyo na yun, research people, know your ingredients before buying stuff.  yun lang hahaha habang disclaimer lhord!
hahaha uys si ate Marge may obagi product, oo, minsan kumakagat ako sa high end stuff [bwahahaha hindi pala minsan, napaparami na rin :P] [translation: even Ms BargainHunter-Marge go for high end products]
and yep, in of my commitment to try new stuff there are times that i get adverse reactions from products and most recently, my adverse reactions are from the skin food aloe bb cream and the etude house ac clinic sun gel
My review for today is the House of Obagi’s Acne Clearing Solution Plus.  In 09, when it hasn’t dawned on me that too much spf give me zits, i would get 1-2 zits a month during that time of the month of a woman when she’s not her best.  when prior to all of this beauty junky thing, i would either just get one zit or not at all.  when i started to get regular pimples, i searched on the web and found obagi and that they have arrived in manila.  so i felt like a truck ran over me when i saw their prices.  EXCEPT for what i had gone there for to begin with, which was assistance with my monthly zits.
This acne clearing solution plus is a blend of retinol and erythromycin.  sounds familiar? they should.  retinol, is a form of vitamin A and is commonly used for anti aging and peeling solutions.  while erythromycin is an antibiotic. this thing is only available at their derma-clinics.  if you may encounter obagi kiosks in dept stores like landmark trinoma, that acne solution has a different formula.
this bottle in the picture up above with the expiration date of 2012 is actually my 2nd bottle.  it’s less than 500 and lasts 2yrs fr date of manufacture.  i use it for spot medication of any zit i may have growing and / or developing.  and naturally, you can guess why this is already my 2nd bottle.  THE THING WORKS, plain and simple.
  • has a pump, hygienic dispensing of the liquid medication
  • THIS WORKS but works when your the pimple is at its developmental stages.  when it reaches a point that the zit has an eye or encapsulated, even oral intake of antibiotics won’t help, either it will heal by itself or pop it.
  • it’s relatively cheap for the amount of product it has, the long shelf life, and considering the high end name brand the clinic it’s from
  • i don’t smell anything from it, maybe a mild citrus alcoholey scent but very mild
  • good for both spot treatments and the entire face [accdg to the derma that sold me this]
  • claims to have retinol and erythromycin
  • for spot treatments, it takes very little to apply for your 2x a day treatment of a pimple
  • not available at their kiosks, the acne solution that is available at their kiosks is a diff formula, [retinol and salicylic acid] so yeah, you’d have to go to their clinic, [trinoma, greenbelt 5, etc]
Do i recommend: i’m no derma, but this works for me
Will i repurchase: yep
ooops a tad too bright in my tiny little iBox studio LOL.
i posted the arrival of these babies on my sorta new facebook page, hope you can like it and interact with me there, some more 😉
i got these from, as usual and as always, Charmaine of Kkochipida and as usual, as with any Korean store, be it online, online reseller, or the real franchise or boutique you get freebies.  Charmaine already knows what I like and knows that I like Kpop ‘merch’ so she gave me a box of cotton with leader’s face on it. [leader=Kim Hyun Joong=leader of the group SS501].  she even wrapped my stuff in a magazine page with Song Joongki on one side and Big Bang on the other. LOL, thanks a bunches 😉
here’s my order.  yep, apart from the word colorstay, two letter’s are already subliminal and make me order and those two letters are BB, phfffft and that sorta now includes the idol group, too!  i actually saw this by accident while visiting her site and i landed on her onhand ready to ship page, i think i was proving to a youtube subscriber who messaged me [said yt subscriber claims dear Charmaine does not put the price of the items she loads on her site] that indeed Charmaine does put the prices of the items she has on hand and for pre-order.  so ayun, ayan, the words tony moly and bb in one, hala sige goew!
it’s in a tub, that hmmm doesn’t look too full, huh? it’s 18.5 grams content.
from the google chrome translation of the product description from the tony moly website:
[2 poseulrin]
Cyclopenta siloxane, mechilteurimechikon, C30-45 Alkyl three Te Lil Dee mechanism Politics cone cross-polymer, titanium dioxide (CI 77891), neo-pen Til glycol Diego seven Six No Eight, methyl methacrylate cross-polymer, dextrin palmitate, cycle Six siloxane, Mica (CI 77019), stability, a twelve depressed, Aluminum Star chiok Te Neil seats for Nate, and yellow iron oxide (CI 77492), argan tree kernel oil, diamond powder, amethyst powder, pearl powder, tourmaline, vines Mon citrus fruit extracts strawberry extract, raspberry extract, blueberry extract, blackberry extract, platinum powder, silica, shea butter, poly methyl room wheels Seth Yushan, purified water, butilrengeulrayikol, butilparaben, mechilparaben, spices, red iron oxide (CI 77491 ), black iron oxide (CI 77499)

omg lamang a 12 depressed Aluminium star? seats for Nate? Nate Berkus ba itey?  at may politics pang nalalaman LOL talaga tong si google translate, you iz scary!
y’all would need a separate spatula to scoop out the product from the tub for hygienic purposes.
it comes with this really soft, synthetic fiber brush.  it’s retractable so it’s a space saver, it’s part of the lid! genius LOL
ahmm huwaoow the coverage.
and well it’s reflective, though.  i guess i can pull it off, the skin on my face is nearly the same as my arms and just a little brighter than my neck.
it takes very little of the product to cover my entire face.  so i guess i’m not too disappointed in the amount of product it has in the tub for the price.
underneath is my neutrogena ultra sheer sunscreen followed by the holika holika pore cover mousse starter, then this whippping bb cream.  i use the revlon colorstay mineral aqua to set it all.  so yeah, pag di pa naman na fill in ang pores ko, huwaw ewan ko na LOL
it has a satin finish so there’s a subtle, as in very subtle shine ok fine, glow daw, hihihi with the pearl and amethyst powder, right?.  quite appropriate for daytime work makeup, enough to say hay i don’t have a hang over see?
My experience:  i’m gonna add this little bit on top of my likes and dislikes.  this purchase was sorta a whim, yeah been doing that lately, LOL i’ll snap out of it, soon.  But it was there on hand so i thought i’d give it a go. it’s SKW15,800 on the Tony Moly website and on Charmaine’s on-hand item’s page it was being sold for PhP725.  the forex is for the skw is at 15800 so it translates to PhP630.  see? see? this is why i am loyal to her!  she knows we, the people, research! so she gives the fairest markup.  naturally, there should be some mark up for her, her shipping fr SK her contact there, wholesale, blah blah, you get my drift.  and that freebie, makes the purchase definitely more than i bargained for.
and now for the product
  • the coverage, blend well with the brush that comes with it.  it medium to full coverage for something of a mousse consistency and a ‘bb’ covered my pores and scars well.
  • shade matches me
  • did not oxidize
  • lasted the whole day, i only blotted the oils from my face twice and didn’t retouch
  • no violent reactions from my skin so far
  • no discernible scents.  the brush picked up the scent of the holika holika pore cover mousse starter so now two of my brushes smell like strawberries and cream. LOL
  • the brush, yey another flat top brush.  just what i needed actually 😉 it’s soft, not scratchy and blends the product just right 😉 it’s handy and conveniently placed as part of the lid.
  • satin finish, not dewy not matte but a nice soft to the touch finish
  • packaging is sleek like most tony moly items 😉
  • it takes very little of the product to cover your entire face
  • phhhftt c’mon tony moly, this aint no bb cream if it doesn’t have spf.  i have to put a separate layer of sun screen under my base.  extra step, hayz
  • the product settles in the container tub, but i guess it’s the nature of the product since it’s whipped and the air fizzled out during shipment.
  •  need a spatula to get the product out.  i aint digging my fingers in that.
  • with the parabens it has, it still has an expiration of a year? ay revlon where are you [2yrs for their colorstay liquid foundation to expire once opened].  i mean it takes just a tinee bit for nearly full coverage
Do i recommend:  yeah, sure, if you want medium to full coverage FOUNDATION this is a good purchase. comes with a brush even 😉 and theirs a 3rd shade for women who have warmer tones of skin shades.
Will I repurchase:  I hardly try anything twice, this is one of those products i won’t try again.  it’s pretty good though for a foundation.
Disclaimer: Some of the Etude House Products have been sitting on my vanity since even before my last[most previous] collective haul. i was merely waiting to complete the tangerine collection or at least have the cream choux especially in #2 [the only one of the 4 that i would actually use] but to this day, it’s out of stock at my favorite mega mall branch. AND THEREFORE, these weren’t purchased in one day, i.e. last april 7 pa nagbukas ang F21 sa makati, some of these are free give aways, thanks to Etude and Charmaine of kkochipida
as some of you might have seen in my twitter/twitpic i went to the first weekend opening of the forever21 branch in sm makati:
here are the items i got:
to this day i’m over the moon with jeans that are less than PhP600, P545 to be exact and cotton tees for PhPP183 in a comfortable mall in a boutique with some sort of a name LOL, well sikat naman ang F21 sa youtube eh, so in fairness it has a name and the couple of Koreans that own F21 are already listed in Forbes, so ahem 😉
i was also there the day the new etude house branch in mega B opened. i was just a tad too early but i got a few pix.
first few hours were for the media then by passed 12, they opened the doors for the general public. this branch is a great deal bigger than their previous shop in mega A. are you curious what shop will replace the space left behind by Etude house??? 😛
if you use your citrus rcbc master card you get a further 5% reduction in price.  it’s pretty hard to beat, ahem tfs and skin food!
if you spend a certain amount at Etude House they had a special promo where you get to spin this wheel:
you want quality products for a less expensive amount? try Korean products, bwahahaha eh ako na defensive. phhhffft.
stuff came in from Charmaine. Lioele, Tony Moly, Baviphat at 50% off, and loads of freebies from her.
a couple of items from The Face Shop. the sticker set came from Thor of Space Encounters
a more recent purchase, the Big shampoo was a gift from the jowa, while the american cream is just ♥♥♥ for me, this is the conditioner whose scent lasts on my hair even after the next shampooing.
first time ever for me to buy a high end blush this blush just suits my complexion well and does not oxidize on me. comparative review on this and my theBalm hot mama coming up, hopefully this week ☺♥
Aha! Rohto clear! this one was a present from my sister in law, theBenj’s younger sister who visited from the states. omg, this thing is painful! but woah effective! Tao’s Makeup or iamgrape1119 on YT did say it was painful as hell the first few times but it really is much better than just your normal visine or eyemo. this is from riteaid. thanks Carol ☺♥
and my kpop stuff. and again, i didn’t buy all this shizz in one sitting.  I got them them from different Kpop stores namely Space Encounters and Fangirl Asia [through hero-Tania].  the lucky days cd was a gift from a friend of mine, Dek. defensive much again? let’s take that one step further, i’ve got a stable job and no kids, makeup and kpop are my only vices, araseo?
that’s all for now folks, can’t wait to review these items!
Ciao ☺♥
Phew! I’m back after what felt like foooorevah. super toxic at work, i just merely hope it was worth the aggravation. and hmmmm the 14 hour a day work days? yeah baby that’s more than half a day for the last few days of our version of a fiscal quarter.
woah i missed blogging!  yeah yeah it’s only been a few days since my last post, but, it sure felt like a very long time to me LOL.   and see, the finished pic i used below was taken last week pa, when i reviewed a my tony moly cheek stain.
yep this is the base/foundation/sun block i used that day and the succeeding days that followed til i finished off this lovely tube.  look at it!  it’s super cute and you can twine it to your phone! bwahaha, ah these  people, don’t they just think up of the cutest things?
question:  just how many bb creams does at-eh marge go through? clearly, plenteeeeee! hehehe
see, it’s sealed with the awesome goodness…can you already tell this is gonna be a great review of this product?
ingredient list.  Look ma! [and at-eh!] it’s in english 😉
looks like an ordinary foundation.  on the watery side but still creamy thick enough to say that it’s still a bb cream.
blends right in, hmmm since it was a sample give away, i can’t say if it’s shade 2 ooops it does say it’s number 2 in the card product insert thingy! LOL.   homaygahd lamang, my t-shirt is the same color as the wall, but howelkeribelz.
yeshH, tayo’y uminom ng suka sa umaga 😛 a shot of this applied on my skin and blended out, no flash
with flash, hmmmm slightly reflective since my face is now fairer than my neck.  never thought that would happen evaaah except maybe with the face shop’s hydrosplash bb cream.  maybe this is what they meant by glowing? LOL but, seriously, there are no sparklies in this bb cream.
it’s this pic again, LOL, yep, looks great without the flash,
and with the flash, still looks quite fair on me after i’ve set it with my revlon colorstay mineral aqua.  but i guess(?) i can pull it off.
this bb cream lasted on my face ha.  and i only blotted off the oilies about 2x a day.  since my foundation routine now consists of a bb cream and my revlon colorstay mineral aqua, i hardly need any touch ups, all i do is blot the oils away 😉
there was too little of the sample product to know if i can become even more fair since it has whitening properties and therefore i can’t write about its anti wrinkle effectiveness either.  but here are my few points on this product:

  • i like this way better than their total age repair wrinkle reduce royal bb cream
  • the scent, it’s like lavenderey [bwahahaha well the product insert does say lavender]  kinda baby powder scent unlike the total age repair that smelled like rubber.
  • very smooth and creamy to apply and easy to blend
  • lasts all day
  • i think this is the one for oily skin, since it has a matte finish at least on me it does, so i like the matte finish, it isn’t too matte but sorry folks not glowy which for is a plus LOL
  • the price for a big tube with pump it’s less than PhP700 for 60g!
  • for my sample size hehehe i like the phone charm dongle – stretchy thingy
  • it has an spf of 30 and pa of ++
  • no break outs 😉 no millia, no other funky stuff 😛

  • it would difficult to use this bb cream in occasions where flash photography will be used =(

Do i recommend this? : yep, it’s not too pricey, but has the usual promises of bb creams, the foundation, the base, the sun block. just don’t use this for santa cruzan or fiesta since digicam flashes are really harsh, it will look nice on you in real life but toshio fr the grudge will appear on your pic instead of your pretty face.

has anyone else tried this? ang bango noh?
