recently, the hubby and i went to HK just to check it out and of course to shop.  but to save space in the luggage all i brought were sample sachets of my essentials.  finally, i get to try the tony moly intense repair live snail cream.

i brought my two sachets to HK and thank fully i did.  this cream’s consistency is a cross between the two snail creams i’ve tried, the skin shop’s snail cream that i reviewed here and etude house’s darling snail cream reviewed here

as shown below, tony moly’s is a white cream but a tad translucent similar to the skin shop’s snail cream.  the scent is sort of similar to etude house’s fruity citrus scent but not as strong as etude house’s scent

i used this the entire time i was in HK where it was a nice 16 deg and a tad windy.  it’s winter but not as bitingly cold like Macau.  the sales girl in Macau that sold me the missha snail cream set adv that the tony moly snail cream is for dry skin and or for colder climates.  she asked me where i was from and advised brands that would suit both our tropical weather and my oily to combination skin.

but while i was there in winter HK and uber windy Macau, this tony moly thick snail cream was the thirst quencher my skin needed.

it was easy to blend and get absorbed.  it didn’t break me out and it helped keep me pimple free even with all the oily chinese food we kept eating, all the smoke on the streets we kept walking along, and the few hours that i slept while i was there.

AND I DIDN’T GET any pimples even when i got home even during pms at that.

Likes:

  • effective in healing the black heads i popped out from using that fire and f…toothpaste from closeup
  • kept me pimple free
  • lightly scented
  • creamy yet easily absorbed, well while i was there in a very cold climate
  •  each sachet lasted me three uses, yeah it takes a little product to spread over my entire face.
Dislikes
  • none that i can think of
Price:
  • i’ve discovered tony moly is either the same price as how it retails in hk or even cheaper! only Laneige was slightly cheaper in HK
  • prices for tony moly’s snail products begin at P1,298.00
Recommendation:  i’ve discovered thru other reviews that indeed the sales girl at sweetmay is correct, this is more suitable for dry skin or at least a very cold climate.  this cream is rather heavy it will slide off in a climate that’s humid and with oily prone facial skin like mine.
Will I purchase the full size? most likely when i visit baguio or travel.
do i recommend? yes, indeed for women with really dry skin, or who can’t live outside an airconditioned room.
hay i miss Sg ooops i mean, HK, LOL
