as any follower of my plurk and facebook and most recently this blog and twitter would know Makati, our foremost business district in Manila is not a place i usually go to.  simply because i’m lazy and i’m afraid of a bigger crowd [bigger than that i’ve grown accustomed to at Ortigas (the smaller business district we have in Manila)].

LOOK! they play classic japanese – period movies on the wall, the sound is muted, but still! hehehe
but beauty events and especially invites fr Askmewhat’s Nikki would make me go to Makati.
so walking around with theBenj, my lovely and very patient man, i saw this Japanese resto and thought the name is just uber cute!  hahaha it had me by the name.

the interior is modern and dim.  nice for dates, i suppose.  any opinions on the back rest of the chairs?

it’s very clean and no weird smells, i should hope so, this restaurant is in one of the newest Greenbelts, and quite a posh one at that!  well, it’s no siam paragon [in Bkk] but we are after all in the Philippines.

ang dilim! [lol the lighting, quite dim!]

the Benj’s staple, the pork tonkatsu.  don’t let pic fool you.  this is one deeeeeeep bowl.  it satiated and gratified even my buffed up-waited for 3hours ++-hubby!  well he didn’t make me feel he waited hours for me while i was at the Clinique Blogger event on top of which he got himself a box set of the adventures of Tin Tin – hahaha i’m waiting for the movie 😛

and my usual, the mango roll, it’s your basic California maki but with a truck load of those orange fish eggs, yuuuummmmm!
with service charge, total charge was around PhP500! that’s about US$11…yep for realz! [yeah but no drinks though]
overall, specially for the price, i’d visit this john and yoko again.  if they had a branch in Ortigas then i’d be a regular patron.  their waiters/attendants are quick on their toes and very mindful of their guests.  the service was fast and the food is better than your average Japanese restaurant found in Manila.

Anyone else who’ve been here?

Sayonara for naoo folks!
