As the title suggests this is part two of my series, me remembering the best of my 2011.  but i will start with a not so good.  remembering a not so good keeps us firmly planted to the ground and make us more careful with our own expectations of ourselves and of other people.

I recall this blogger sale in the middle of the year.  it was a bunch of bloggers getting rid of the stuff they’ve accumulated and while on paper (a great idea to them at the time) it was a wonderful opportunity for them to meet their readers and at the same time get rid of their used stuff to make room in their closets.  it’s quite possible that it was already late in the day that i arrived and most of their stuff have been looked thru and by then already disheveled and required re-steaming/ironing as their alta de siudad stuff looked like stuff from the ukay ukay on the corner of kamias and edsa, seryoso, as in.  plus the fact that i acknowledge the fact that the bloggers may have been indisposed eating somewhere else at ang mga natira ay ang mga chimay who’d rather be somewhere else as well.  but some altas/debutantes were there one of whom recognized my lanyard and sheepishly was embarrassed dahil kpop ang lanyard ko. wag ka na mahiya, girl, uso naman ang kpop eh, panira lang si Mo at si KC.

lanyard seen below in my pic was the lanyard recognized ‘ey it’s big bang!’ then cowers back to her iphone pretending to be texting while mumbling…’la lang just saying’:

so i wrote about it here whilst not mentioning that blogger event sale since i wrote about it the very next day and i didn’t want to seem accusing because of the facts mentioned above (that the bloggers were tired, not there, etc) and oh gawd, the venue was poorly lit TO TOP IT ALL, half the time i nearly stumbled over their over priced USED shoes!  so stuff i learned, don’t go to events by yourself para may kasama kang mang-lait after hahaha.  always wear your company jacket to tell them altas that though i’m a call center agent i can still blog and afford most of the shit i blog about.  and most of all, wag pa-apekpek sa mga taong kung makatingin sa iyo ay ikaw ay lower life form.  i get that 5 days out of the week in broad daylight, i don’t need it from these debutantes.

ay ang haba na…ano na kasi sinasabi ko? AH YES, counting my blessings…moving on.

one of my highlights of this year was meeting Nikki, Shen, and Sophie.  this was a ponds event and the ladies were top pics on facebook and by ponds for their campaign at the time.

that started a ball rolling when i met Trixie of Nuffnang and Iya a really nice blogger and Shen again at one of clinique sponsored get togethers, at ayun oh, si Alice asa likod hahaha, oh Alice ba’t di ka tumakbo para masama sa pic!?

This 2011 was also the start of other Korean cosmetics companies (other than Etude House that is) that began to give me notice and sent me their stuff for review.  Mid year was The Skin Shop:

this is when, thanks to the skin shop, that i discovered how fantastic snail creams are!  thank you thank you!

Mid year as well, finally after 30 years! Kylie graced us with her goddess presence and i was there beecheSS!

also in July i was invited by Tony Moly Philippines to their Mega Mall opening that i wrote about here

i also got a photo-op with popular blogger Shen of Shensaddiction.com at this Tony Moly event:

ay sorry naman big bang parin ang lanyard…blackjacks! songjongki phil! t-ara-phil pabili ng lanyard sa 28th at 30th ha, thanks!

and it may be late, but one of my readers told me that i’ve been seen on the etude house magazines LOL

here:

and here:

truth be told, i doubt my blog will be as half as effective in reaching out to my intended audience withOUT Etude House.  Etude house answers so many of our Pinay’s needs.  inexpensive, cute, yet QUALITY cosmetics and skincare with such a popularity flare thanks to our love affair with kpop/kdramas.  Etude House! thanks so much for 2010 and now 2011!

then also in July, theBenj with my hero Tania had the great fortune of going to Singapore!

i super loved this trip and had about 5 different posts because of it, to think we only stayed 3days and 2nights!

thanks to this trip i got to see, hahaha big bang, hehehe this post is littered with the mention of big bang, aint it???

and of course 2ne1!

of the kpop acts that have come out of korea, these are the two, with the exemption of RAIN that no longer need to prove themselves to anyone, to koreans, and most specially our american music loving pinoys.  these two groups have already been awarded and celebrated by mtv, at the recent mtv ema’s and mtv iggy’s best new band.  so if anyone else doubt(s) why kpop is that awesome, just take a look at these two groups and how worldwide they have become in the span of less than 5 years!  if that still casts a doubt in your white mind, then well wala na kong magagawa.

in the span of about 2-3 mos i got another invite from tony moly to their product launch:

and i finally got to sit down and share a meal with popular blogger Jheng of iambrigette.com, sa kulitan namin di kami naka-kain ng husto hahaha

notably this year i’ve been winning many blog contests namely (and in no particular order)

  1. Shen’s 3rd year anniversary contest and she was super kind that she invited me to the Pond’s flawless white event at Fiamma
  2. mister fruit machine chose my name when Nikki was giving away tickets to the multiply party at white space i even had extra tickets thanks to Alice 😉
  3. another randomizer picked my name out when Pinkiecharm was doing one of twitter giveaways and i won my first ever as in ever mac product

note to people out there:  Irene has this incredible online reputation of being something other than what she is not.  you know? i really can’t reconcile that reputation with the way she treats me and Apple for that matter.  UNTIL i realized.  well, she’s brutally honest, like yours truly. and if PEOPLE out there with NOTHING BETTER TO DO BUT TO MAKE INTRIGUES about a person and talk behind people’s back and jeopardize your reputation then that is between those closed minded people and their maker (God).  Irene treats people like me with kind words, why?  because i’m kind to her.  I and clearly, people like Irene will diss you if you diss me, and clearly, people like her.  it’s that simple, if you’re nasty to me then don’t expect me to kiss your ass (where ever that is).

  1. (ay bumalik sa 1-phhhtt hahaha) i won a microwave! homaygawd wth?  sa Christmas party namin.  my name got picked!

homay, super random naman.  two of us from our account (but diff LOB-line of business) got our names picked at the ofc xmas party raffle!  further proof that the company i work for is merely a business and does not take things personally and makes you ‘gago’.  i’ve been with the company for 6 years now, i’ve never won anything from the company itself, maybe it’s fate that the other girl and i show others out there that a random event like this is entirely possible.  i kinda wish now the nega ones won na lang at least something like this would bring a smile to their faces, even for a moment.

and speaking of winning out of so many names, you know imma gonna mention this right???  that’s me, the 4th name.

and one of the best things that ever came out of my 2011??

and lastly my number one blessing:

no, not etude, hahaha though etude house has been superduper fantastic to me since their arrival to the philippines.  it’s my hubby of course!

every time i go home after work, i remind myself to shed off any negativity i’ve accumulated throughout the day.  my wonderful hubby deserves so much more than to go home with someone bitching about her day.  we all have troubles how we spend our days anyway, i am clearly no exception.  what sets us apart is how we deal with all the negativity.  i was lucky enough to have been given a wonderful hubby who has taught and given me so much.  i can only hope that i can be the wife he deserves in those times in our lives when we are tested and challenged.

there are so many happenings in 2011 that one post just won’t express how wonderful and busy i was this year.  there was the Korean Philippine cultural exchange, there was the visit by two of our ss501 kids last february, there was super junior’s concert and so much more!

Kpop and Korean cosmetics is what drove this blog all throughout 2011 and most likely these two factors, the factors that made me start this blog to begin with will be my main focus in 2012!

i’ve two more events before the year ends and both are kpop related.  hope to see you on the 28th! at megatrade hall

and of course on the 30th at the megatent! don’t forget to bring your donations for Sendong victims on the 30th! see you here!

Some of you who liked my facebook page may have seen my HK travels album here and saw that HK is indeed a shopping city LOL.  the hubby and i were there for three days and half.  we did the nathan road shopping thing.

and naturally, since my current addiction is Laneige, i came home with a few goodies from that brand.  full sized items are cheaper in Manila.  but the sample sizes are found in HK and are for sale O_o.  the water sleeping pack was about 800+ on the street, i just didn’t get it since at the time i haven’t really tried it, and i already have several sample size of the water sleeping pack for me to try.  oh yeah, next to bonjour and the body shop, laneige stores were abound.

apart from sasa, that sold samples from guerlain to estee lauder to elizabeth arden, colour mix was a store i visited in two locations.  they carried lioele, skin79, the face shop and this taiwanese brand called shills.

i got these at sasa.  ah the famous dollywink.  kala ko naman kung ano, maganda pa packaging ng ever b at careline or halos pareho lang.

In Macau though, at the Venetian, i found this boutique, phew! one boutique to conquer all!  It’s a Korean cosmetics shop!  oo may Laneige din dyan, samwerz.  spotted, etude house and tony moly!

and a section dedicated to that slave management label called sment, phfft.  yep, the sales girl said that they were commissioned by sment to sell their original and official SMEnt merch.  (sment is the label that manages super kpop groups like super junior, tvxq, shinee, and girls generation, not to mention kpop mainstay BoA). so here below are the uber expensive mugs, clear file folders, and other office supplies with our favorite kpop idols.

From that store i came away with my missha snail cream set and a holika holika tinted lip balm/gloss.  from that purchase they gave me their sweetmay makeup case and a face cream/essence in a sachet.

so yeah, sa Macau yung may libre.  so it really is a Korean thing to give away freebies with purchase.  the Laneige store in Harbour city mall didn’t give didleee squat, hay, it was about 500 bucks cheaper at Laneige harbour city mall branch but well, from the point of view of a pinoy, pupunta  ka pa ng hk para makatipid ng 500, eh di well, sa shangri la na lang or trinoma (moa or robinson’s place) for your laneige fix may libre ka pang kung ano anong anik anik, sa hk wala!

back in Hong Kong.  theBenj found Sino center for me, this hole in the wall vira mall type of mall (circa 1980’s as in before the fire vira mall).  this is the place to buy kpop official and unofficial merch.  the big bang stuff is official while the leader stuff well, fanmade.

From Page One i got a catalogue mag.  these asian magazines often include goodies with the mag.  the tweens often by the mag for the goodies.  this was the last copy of this Arashi mag.  and this mag made miss my sister in Asian-pop madness, Dek.  ayan nakunan ko na ng picture.  the bag stays but once i’ve taken photo’s of jun, i’ll ship the mag off to you na.  i used that bag at the office xmas party lmao!

Along Nathan road, there are side streets, one of them is Shun Yee street and on one corner there is camille road.  at that area i found this st francis/vira mall type of boutique (so no fitting allowed) where the prices of the clothes are half the price compared to most of the clothes i’ve seen so far through the many malls along nathan road.  the name of the store is in fashion.

for the office i got a few blouses.

a dress for date night ^_^

ahhh well y’all know i can’t keep away for the corally-peachy blouses.

and a pair of hose(s)

a nice blouse for the Christmas party.

which i wore at the Christmas party.

below is the black vest thing.

all the blouses didn’t go over 450 O_o where as compared to the malls, both in HK and in Manila, blouses of such designs would go for double those prices. hahaha i am proud to say, including the boots from naf naf, my entire outfit for the Christmas party was roughly about PhP1200 O_0 oo, HKD50 (around 300peTot) lang yung leggings with felt type of fabric the blouse was only HKD49 (around 280petoTs) so around PhP500 blouse and pants na.  then the naf naf boots were on half off sale last oct ba yun, so asa 700 or less. hahaha.  sorry peeps, i’d rather spend on skin care than on clothes.  though that may change as well. but i’m far from posting outfits of the day, but who knows, there’s a korean owned store in greenhills with roughly the same prices as this in fashion shop in HK

disclaimer:

except for the holiday edition lip duo and blush from laneige, the items above are Christmas + 8th year anniv gifts to me from the hubby.  so to the judgmental people out there, eh well, grind your teeth for all i care.

hahahaha may ganon? la lang each time i post a haul vid on my youtube channel, as in each time, i have a thumbs down. like i said grind your teeth hahaha

are we traveling again soon? maybe, i’m hoping to catch leader in Sg, or once big bang releases their new album in 2012, and when they tour, i’m hoping to catch them in BKK or Sg (historically, they have not visited HK, but who knows..)

i kinda liked the weather in HK it was winter but the temps were only around 16 degrees.  it was Macau that was bitingly cold at 11 degrees with WIND.  i loved the fact that my makeup didn’t melt of regardless of the long walks hahaha.  i hardly blotted the oils off my nose!

til next time folks 😉

Finally, i have the chance to visit Nature Republic, but i didn’t go all the way to sm lagro.  this is the boutique in SM North, the block, on the 4th level.  since i didn’t know where it was, i had to ask two information desks at sm dept store and main mall.  neither information desks knew where it was and their listings were at the time, have yet to be updated.  but i hear this shop opened last november, my visit was last dec 10.  but oh well, eventually, sm admins for north edsa would update their listings.

i eventually found it thanks to google and my phone and beauty bloggers that wrote about it.

and here’s Jang Geun Suk.  He’s the lead actor in You’re Beautiful and Marry Me Mary.

Nature Republic used to be endorsed by Rain, which is how i found out about this brand.  but now Nature Republic has Jang Geun Suk, Kara, and JYJ.  that’s pretty amazing for a cosmetic brand as the talent fee for these folks is by no means peanuts.

the shop itself is pretty big, about the size of etude house or slightly bigger a few floors down.  and you have your basic makeup, the only difference would be the price range and packaging.  and possibly the formulation of the skin care and makeup itself.

and i ended up with a small haul, i got a baked shadow, a lippy to match the shades in the baked shadow, an israeli but from korea volcanic ash mask thingie something, a couple of lip glosses with spf for Christmas gifts several bb cream samples, a membership card that entitles me to a 10% discount from now on, one JGS clear file, and a JGS zip lock packet and that paper bag.

I had them reserve for me a 3 step black head removing thing.  so hopefully i get a text soon LOL.

by chance the store manager was there and i asked her as to when they would open up shop in mega, the sales lady and not the store manager immediately and enthusiastically answered, ma’am next year na! oh ha, i jokingly replied, ah eh next year is already in 2weeks! LMAO ay honga naman ang sagot, sabay defensa ng manager, next year, december din, oh ha, mabuti kalog din ako, gets ko na joke rin lang yun hahaha eh kung maselan ako 😛   oh sya sige surprise na lang.

I received this email from Laneige a few days back. this gives us the gift packages available at our local Laneige boutiques and counters at Trinoma, Shangri La Mall, SM Moa, and Robinson’s Place Manila.  Some are worth the discount the others well, up to your taste and budget.  I’m liking that Snow bb cream set, but i’ve already got their bb cream.  a few days shy of this promo, awww shucks O_O

but some of the items above are indeed available while supplies last as a trial pack if you buy at least PhP3500 worth of items like the stuff my hubby and i bought for me. i love this holiday collection.  somehow i prefer it over 2009’s kinda drab and dark.  i even like the box and the printing on the powder LOL.  there are more lip duo shades, too!  i want and will get the other blush shade.  i feel this kind of arrangement of shades on the blush is way more maximized per use than the jill stuart blush with the equallysized cubes of shades.

tutorial using these items, coming soon.

below is the perfect renew kit, that comes free with at least PhP3500 worth of purchase.  you get four items, the water sleeping pack, the perfect renew skin refiner, the perfect renew emulsion and the perfect renew essence.

Addict much? LOL only because Laneige is right near now where i work, in Ortigas, and i’ve discovered that Laniege products are less expensive purchased here than buying Laneige products in Sg or online.

So what are your gift ideas?

back when i started my Korean addiction, Laneige had just arrived in the Philippines.  their flagship store is in Trinoma.  now they have three shops that i know of, Trinoma, the first one, SM Moa, and most recently, Edsa Shangrila Mall (Crossings)-kaching!  just walking distance from where the fx drops me off when i go to megamall, LMAO.

So how i do i get these samples? eeeeezeee, buy stuff from them.  laneige lippie post within the week, y’all.

I was quite hesitant to buy this bb cream as it didn’t really work out for my sister in law, so much so she gave it to the young lady that takes care of her kid, aka yaya/nanny.

so fine, i gave it a go, it’s just a sample anyhow if it didn’t work out at least i didn’t invest in it.  the sa said they only give out the natural beige [2nd] shade.  so ok, just like other korean shop, their samples are of the ‘darker’ shade.  i use that loosely cuz look at this!

it is with a heavy heart that i announce that my wonderful Laneige UV SPF40 PA++ reviewed here has been discontinued.  and well, why wouldn’t they now that they have a bb cream.

ingredient list:

on my face, ey, awesome coverage, i actually forgot to apply concealer under my eyes. not bad.  pic below taken without flash.

and below with flash.  not too reflective and the shade matches my skin, kinda.  the finish sorta matte.  it smells great, too.

but once upon a time, i got a sample of their snow crystal dual foundation spf 22 PA+ which i reviewed here.

finally i get to use it, and it still works! this of course is the ‘darker’ shade.

hoWleefrak, i love the combination.  i forgot how i love love this foundation.  forgive me laneige for getting sidetracked. imma gonna buy you this december, i promise! i just don’t know what i’ll do with the concealer on top LOL, still!  pic below is taken without flash and the foundation is on top of the bb cream

and below with flash.  the finish is luminous without being too bright and shimmery, really really natural looking brightening or luminous effect.  no sparkles.

my setting powder is the revlon colorstay mineral aqua (you guys know how i love that) and here’s what came out.  slightly ‘darker’ or natural looking than my usual.  do you see the slight difference of fairness from my face to my neck and chest? pic below is taken without flash.

below with flash.

and you betcha i’ll get the foundation either in HK or next pay day.  this foundation at the Changi Airport Duty free is SG$47.5 around PhP1700++ converted.  at Laneige Philippines, this is sold for PhP1650, then naturall i’d say it’s a done deal.

but things are generally cheaper in HK compared to SG so i’ll see my luck there for the foundation.

the likes and dislikes below will be about the bb cream since i’ve already reviewed the foundation here, and guess what, i still feel the same way about it.

LANEIGE SNOW BB CREAM LIKES:

  • the scent, it’s so lady like, not baby powder scent for high school or elementary but very lady like yet not matronly
  • the coverage, medium to buildable full coverage!
  • spf 41 pa++ not the best but it’s way up there.
  • lasting power, lasted all day
  • didn’t cake up the foundation
  • didn’t break me out
  • didn’t oxidize thank gawd, (since i had the ‘darker’ one lol)
  • oil control, 3.5/5 [1-being the lowest 5-being the highest] i’d still have to blot the oils away at least once or 2x a day in an airconditioned office and i don’t move around a great deal.
  • moisturizing

Neutral:

  • whitening – i’d be afraid if i get any fairer LOL and by just using bb creams
  • anti-wrinkle – i’ve only used it for 5 days (my minimum for trying out the bb cream for something to give me a zit, which in this case didn’t)

Dislike(s):

  • i guess the price? but then it’s high end, so i can’t dictate that, but it’s actually less expensive here in Manila than at the Changi Duty free so i guess it shouldn’t be so whiny.
This Laneige bb is cheaper than my shu uemura which is 2k when i bought it, while the clinique bb cream reviewed here (though only around 1400+ at Changi airport) is 1,850 here Manila, so Laneige’s bb is a tad cheaper than Clinique’s at least here in Manila.
  • currently only 2 shades

Do i recommend this? – definitely, specially to those who like bb creams, like high end, and are interested in Korean cosmetics

Will I purchase? – you bet- i loved it so much, that i bought the full size and this time i bought the luminous shimmer one, so not the ‘darker’ one.

oh Laneige how could i have gotten side tracked? never again

imma to just stick to what i know and what got me going on this blogging thing which are: Korean or Asian cosmetics [yez, me wants to try kevin beauty maker, esprique/kose, fascio, hera, and the rest] kpop stuff, and of course, food blogging.

my next purchases would be their holiday stuff hahaha already in the shelves.

my next laneige post would be about their awesome lippies my gawd, super non-drying/chapping!

hey i’m back, LOL…my usual intro spiel on my vids.  don’t think i can film this weekend.  though i should, maybe on monday.  so instead, here’s my report on the phil-cosmetics expo 4th Pilipinas Ang Ganda Mo!  so it means this is the Philippine Cosmetics Exposition the fourth One with the Pilipinas, Ang Ganda Mo.  sige na nga i’m no grammar expert.

i went after my shift, but the flower arrangement was still there.

it’s free admission and i simply walked in, cam in my hand.

there were familiar names such as ever bilena

 splash kolours

but a great deal of the booths i saw were of names unfamiliar to me such as this Viet Namese brand

 this

this one, but then i’m not much into fragrances any how.

some brands that do the whitening thing

 do the cure all thing

and back again to some familiar names specially online like multiply and facebook for brushes and makeup

i actually have the iWhite nose pack, it’s available at watson’s and got the heads up on it from Sugar.  and yep i bought since it’s inexpensive and korean LOL.

 argan oil

wow but i am on a shopping diet so had to move on.

finally i made it to booth 13, Digital Train Case’s booth! Tadaaaaah, and my first words to Paul, hi, do you accept credit card payments? LMAO so yeah pretty much i’m illiterate when the co-presenter of the event is RCBC Bankcard, ginoo.

so they were carrying Sophie’s Charm brushes, the travel Pro i just posted about here, i also saw the new elf brushes and a great deal of NYX products, behold!

 more NYX

 and EOS

more NYX  actually i’m diggin the display cases she used

it’s like she’s been the profession forevah!

meeting the people behind a company or store adds so much credibility…and they’ve been around for quiet awhile, uso pa multiply nun they’ve been there na.  the prices, how to order, their locations can be found here on their site

another familiar and who also currently has a spot at Crossings Glorieta is Dollface Cosmetics

her pallets and brushes are available.

and i guess, y’all remember kukuryu right?

some other companies that are unfamiliar to me

ooooh, but the jowa bought me one for Christmas 2010 so i had to stop myself. LOL

 mane n tail!

ooooh they gave me a sample, asan na kaya yun LOL it’s somewhere in my bag

and wow a mary kay rep was here. i wanna try their products, really i do, but seriously, it’s so pricey.  more expensive than Avon sooo hay, i don’t know.

phhhffft victoria jackson, well in fairness, i like their makeup, i just didn’t like how they treated me and hero Tania.  (we were led to believe that we would be able to attend their grand launch just buy their survival kit and become a member, flash the VJ card at resorts world and they’d let you in.  but nope, marketing bs, gone bad)

they were trying to sell me another set of makeup, had to flash them my card, that is still in this black hole of a diaper bag of mine LOL.

 more whitening stuff O_O

there were a couple of booths selling nail art

a booth was selly byc but no cracked nail polish, hohum

i was surprised but then with all the local not so familiar brands, i was pleasantly surprised to see VMV Hypoallergenics products here.

ooops i didn’t buy into this, though i have falling hair ever since i started growing my hair long O_0

oh another familiar name, cinema secrets.  my mom used to love their products.  and in fairness,  i like their foundations on her.

l’oreal was there, but then i’m waiting for their outlet/hq sale as i work only a floor away from them.  that’s this month, of september, too.

had it not been digital train case, and mind you i didn’t expect to buy the charm pro travel set (t)here, i’d be displeased with this visit.

my man asked me, huh? wala yung tony moly, etude house, at the face shop? hahaha PHIL nga eh, hahaha oooops may viet namese, at l’oreal.  dear l’oreal, why did you just bring out garnier? how bout maybelline? no revlon either.  no james cooper, no fanny serrano O_o

there was some hullabaloo on the stage while i was there.  but i struck out on the hourly raffle, and i had 7 raffle tickets, too LOL ah well lady luck says i won big time na daw.

DISCLAIMER: i purchased this product with my own money at the duty free of Changi International Airport.  I am not being paid by Clinique to review their product.  I’m just addicted to bb creams, clearly!
This post will be updated with a video review for those who’d rather hear the review in the background while browsing another site instead of read LMAO, cuz i obviously do that!  but here’s my report in written format.and here it is:

I was advised last May at the Clinique Event I went to that Clinique has come out with their own bb creams and that it will arrive and launched in Manila this August, (if not already, since it is after all August, eww).  naturally, i couldn’t wait and took advantage of the duty free and bought this baby.  as with all clinique products it’s allergy tested, no fragrance and dermatologist tested.  and all clinique products regardless if it’s makeup
have skin caring ingredients.  and this bb cream is part of their age defense line so it’s for anti aging as well (which a great deal of bb cream boast of anyway).
it’s just that since it’s clinique, you have a well known western brand that actually have yeeeeears upon yeaaars of testimonials from our tita’s and moms.  but even youngins like Elle and her sister from allthatglitters21 and even our very own Aubrey of fafinettex3 use Clinique so our younger 20 somethings are Clinique users so hopefully Clinique will no longer be looked at as a brand for our tita’s and moms.
Look achie! it’s in English LMAO.
and unlike a great deal of bb creams, this shows you its shelf life and woah it’s 2years upon first opening.  so dearies, get your magic marker and label your stuff the date you opened your makeup or skin care.  imma gonna have to remember i got this in july during my still can’t get over it trip to Sg LMAO.
it’s a tad thick but watery, but when blended out it covers fine lines well and pores but my green vein can still be seen. i get an even light to medium coverage with this.  i like as in super like the veil, matte to satin finish, unlike my shu that has matte finish.
still need under eye concealer to hide how much i stayed up the previous night watching criminal minds or the boys over flowers rerun on kbs LMAO.  photo below was taken withOUT the flash turned on.
photo below has the flash turned on.  slightly reflective, but not too much.  it evened out my skin fr chest to neck to face 😉
and of course topped with my ever ever as in most favorite-i even got two back ups of- the revlon colorstay mineral aqua.  DISCLAIMER: i don’t buff in completely the mineral aqua foundation as you would mineral foundation, i use my mineral aqua to set.  i prefer the oil absorption qualities of this mineral foundation and the slight additional coverage is a good boost.
Photo below is a pic taken without flash.
photo below taken with flash.  still slightly reflective but manageable.
combination of the mineral aqua, revlon age defying concealer, and the clinique bb, hides my under eye circles without caking up, and fill in my fine lines without looking like i put on a ton of product.
what a feat lol, another high end product review LMAO, thank the godSS it turned out ok on me.  it’s way up there now with my tony moly expert triple and l’egere white multi AND HAS dethroned my skin food peach sake bb cream! well in fairness to the shu uemura under base bb, that, too, is an awesome bb underbase that gives a flawless finish it’s just that i can’t use it too often or daily or i’d develop black heads.
Likes:
  • 2year shelf life with indicator
  • spf 30 pa +++ great for indoorsy types like me who’s stuck in the office
  • creamy to apply
  • good pore and fine lines coverage
  • light to medium to slightly buildable coverage, the spider veins on my cheek are covered well enough
  • does not cake up throughout the day
  • oil control is ok, i only have to blot once or twice MAX throughout the day
  • doesn’t feel heavy on my skin
  • does not oxidize on me
  • did not break me out (used this and still using this for 5 days now) no new black heads, milla, white heads
  • no scent
  • midway between matte to satin finish, so it isn’t completely flat, very minimal dew LOL but there still is
Dislikes:
  • without duties (as in taxes) and on gss (great singapore sale) this still costs about PhP1500 it was Sg$40.5 at the duty free Changi International Airport, but, who knows it may just be 2k at rustan’s just like the shu, hahaha just daw, pweh
Neutral:
  • anti aging part, been only using it for 5 days and it’s really hard for me to notice the difference if any of the anti aging stuff has worked on my fine lines.
Do i recommend?  sure specially to those who can’t see themselves going inside a road side [their version of drugstore brand] korean cosmetic store, which matter fact-ly, i just do not know why.  etude house, tony moly and the face shop have bb creams that are just par with this one.  and matter of fact-ly the makeup found in EH, TM, TFS are just the same as revlon, cover girl, maybelline or even better.
Will I repurchase: probably not.  as you know i hardly repurchase anything, it has to be super outstanding for me to get a back up of anything.

What’s your take on these western brands, a Lauder one at that, riding the bb cream bandwagon? i wonder what else they’ll take on?  the snail cream? LMAO
